You Need to Ask to Get the Referrals You Want.
Some practices feel there is a brick wall when it comes to asking for referrals. Once you start asking your patients for referrals, you will find that it was just a matter of not only letting them know you want them, but reminding them to do so as well. We lead such busy lives, and believe it or not health care comes up quite a bit in conversations. Many prime opportunities come up for your patients to share your practice and promote your services... make sure they are not passing them up!

It's easy... Go to your local electronics/computer store and purchase an eyeball web camera if you don't already have one. Some computers come with them built in already. Don't scrimp on the camera. They are not too expensive and you will find the quality of your video will increase with a trusted and better quality brand. There are plenty of great reviews on the different brands...find which one is the best fit for you.
Next, take the time to consider what it is you want to say/convey to you patients so you can begin a type of script. While we don't want you to read straight from a cheat sheet, we don't want you to fumble through your message either. Consider any promotions you want to share, any new services or products you offer, staff happenings/changes, and of course...ask for referrals. If you plan to do these videos quarterly, make sure to mention the season and give well wishes for any holidays close to the sending your video.
Choose a setting in which to shoot your video. The easiest will be sitting at your desk either at home or in the office. Be mindful of your surroundings...you don't want your patients to see last week's dry cleaning hanging up behind you or hear something a staff member might say while walking by. Remember to SMILE during your video! Also, eye contact with the camera is super-important to give this the intimate feel you want. You are building and nurturing a relationship with each patient who opens this video, so speak to them as if they are sitting right across the room from you.
